Ek Ghar Banaunga is an Indian television soap opera that will be broadcast on Star Plus channel from April 29, 2013.The show will outline the ideas of marriage and how daughters are supposed to leave their father's home to live with their spouses, and not sons.The story revolves around Akash, an irreverent small-town boy from Sitapur, U.P., who single-handedly runs his family business. Akash's general demeanour and inability to speak English is in stark contrast to the college-going, intelligent student Poonam. In our society where it is a must that after marriage, the girl should start her life afresh with her husband and in-laws, what happens to her own parents in their old age. Although Aakash falls in love with Poonam at first sight, she is not too pleased with his antics. Aakash comes from a rustic background whereas Poonam is extremely brilliant in her studies. Will Aakash convince Poonam and her parents that he is the right groom for her.

The Episode starts with Deepak saying Prabhunath that he has money. He asks which money. Deepak says the fixed deposit which you have kept for Poonam’s marriage. Deepak asks for that money. Prabhunath and Poonam are shocked. Deepak says he is Poonam’s elder brother, he does not feel good to ask for money, but he does not have any choice. He ends the call saying I will call you tomorrow.
Prabhunath says Vandana that Deepak needs more money for his business, and he said to break Poonam’s fixed deposit intended for her marriage. Vandana is shocked. Deepak is being much selfish. Poonam thinks about Deepak’s words.
Scene shifts to Akash:
Akash is on a Dhobighat. He is doing his work of colouring the clothes. He throws the excess colour to play holi with Chandru. Chandru runs away saying he has much work to do. The colour falls on Poonam.
Akash is shocked to see Poonam infront of him. Music plays…
He says sorry to her and tries to clean her hair. She says let it be. He says I have not seen you. Poonam leaves from there and stands somewhere. Akash follows her, and Akash says some shayari and asks whats troubling her as she is not angry on him today. He asks every problem has a solution, and he may help her if she wants. Akash thinks Poonam looks worried. He gives her an umbrella and asks her to think what he said. He then leaves. Poonam look at him while he is leaving.
Akash drives his bike and goes. Scene shifts to some Prathna Decorators where Akash works.
Jai babu says he will not go to make Shamiyana in so much heat, but his younger brother Akash will go.
Akash asks for his dad, and they leave for home.

Scene shifts to Poonam:
She thinks about Akash’s words.

Deepak gets Poonam’s call. He asks her what happened. She says her dad get only pension and he has no money to help you out. Deepak says he has fixed deposit money. Deepak taunts her and says only if his parents help him in business, only then he will take their responsibility. Poonam is shocked.
Scene shifts to Akash’s dad Shashikant:
He is talking to someone and says they have Puja at home. Jai and Akash arrive at home. Few guests also come there. Akash says he has recovered the payments, his dad says good. Akash goes to meet his Dadi. Akash’s mother and sister come down to attend the Puja. She asks Jai to get ready for the Puja. She says Jai is childless thats why she is conducting the Puja. And also for her daughter Prathna to get married.
Akash is from a high-class family. The Puja commences and they all attend it.
She donates few clothes too. Akash is with his Dadi. She asks how was his Lucknow’s trip. He says it was special. She asks why, did you get any girl. He smiles and says he met a girl. But he did not get her yet. Prathna comes and hugs him. She asks what he brought for her from Lucknow. He says he brought something and he gives it to him.
Jai and his wife get ready for the Puja. Akash, Prathna and Dadi come to the Puja place.
Akash’s mother scolds her bahu and says what will she do getting ready so much as a woman’s ornament is her child. She brings them in the Puja. Everyone sit in the Puja.
Akash jokes with Dadi.
Scene shifts to Poonam:
She see Prabhunath worried and in deep thoughts. She says him to break the FD and give it to Deepak.
Prabhunath is shocked to know that Poonam knows everything.

The Episode starts with a Deepak saying Poonam to agree for marriage. He says he was very happy when he came to USA. But he came to know now that his parents were not happy with his decision, and now he knows that they wanted to stop me but they could not say it to him.
He felt now that they were not happy and they could not tell him their feelings.
His dad came to left him on the station with tears in his eyes. He did not notice what his parents wanted to say. Deepak says if he would have heard his parents decision, he would have not come to America. He says I wish I would have listened to them.
He says parents never think bad about their children. They think something better for the children. Deepak asks her to think about what her father is saying.
Kiran also speaks to Poonam. Kiran says she understands her completely, as a girl has to take such decision. If yourparents are ok with the proposal, and if the guy is good, then you may go ahead. She asks Poonam to think and tell her tomorrow. She disconnects the call. Suman asks Poonam what Deepak told, she says she will tell her on the way.
Prabhunath comes to meet Gawtham. Gawtham asks how come he has come alone. He says I wanted to talk to you. Gawtham asks what he wants to talk. Prabhunath says I will tell later, but you first say do you like Poonam. Gawtham is shocked and thinks why he is asking so, he does not understand. He says Poonam is a good student. He asks why are you asking this. Prabhunath says he wants them to get married. Gawtham is more shocked. Prabhunath says you both are seeing each other, and you know each other well, and I have also seen you and like you, so I feel there cannot be anyone better than you for Poonam. Thats why I brought my daughter’s proposal for you.
Gawtham stands up and smiles. Gawtham says I like Poonam a lot. Prabhunath is very much happy. Gawtham asks did you talk to Poonam about this proposal, is she ok with it. Prabhunath says she respects you a lot, she has seen you only as a teacher, so we should give her some time. Gawtham says Poonam has to be ok with it, else there is no hope for this proposal. We should know what she feels about it.

The Episode starts with Poonam talking to Deepak. She says she is ready to marry. Deepak says he is very happy and could not believe it. Deepak says thankyou very much. He says which I have not dome, my little sister has done it. He could not give happiness to his parents. But you have agreed to them, so you have given them happiness. She asks Deepak and Kiran to come here for her marriage. Deepak is silent. PRabhunath and Vandana hear this and are shocked.
Prabhunath comes to Poonam. She touches their feet and takes blessings. She hugs Prabhunath. She says your spects are broken and you did not tell me, its wrong. He cries. He says thankyou for saying yes for marriage. He says she has removed their burden. He says sorry too for shouting on her, She too says sorry.
Poonam gets a call from Suman, and she says her parents that she is going to meet Suman for some work.
Poonam leaves without having food. Vandana is worried about her. Prabhunath says let her what she wants, as she will be in this home for few days.
Suman says Poonam that you have said yes. Poonam says I told yes because her parents’s happiness matter more than her own happiness. Poonam says Suman likes Rohit but marrying the guy which her parents like. Poonam says there is no difference in English medium and Hindi medium education. Akash is sitting somewhere reciting his same lines. Akash meets Monica Didi who is a flower supplier. Akash tells that from now on you will be supplying flowers to Prathna Decorators. She asks why he is giving her the contract. Akash says something well, and she feels they have trusted him. Chandru says now Akash has to come in this lane. Monica taunts Chandru. Akash says some good lines to Monica Didi.
Chandru says you are forgetting your real work to find out about Poonam. Akash says be patient Chandru.
Poonam says Suman that she has to buy spects for Prabhunath.
Monica Didi gives flowers to Akash, he tries to keep it somewhere and he and Poonam bump into each other and the flowers fall on Poonam.

The Episode starts with Chandru asking Akash to end up the conversation and we should leave now. Akash says I wanted to drink tea. Poonam says I will make now. Akash says sometime else and he leaves. Poonam says Prabhunath says Akash makes some excuse and comes home to meet him. Prabhunath says no matter, he is good boy. She says he is over smart and talks a lot. Prabhunath says people who speak a lot are good from heart. He says he does hardwork and he is taking the sole responsibility of his work on his shoulders. Poonam says its not good to come home withoutasking. He says Sitapur is a small place, and their people respects feelings. He says you are pin pointing him for no reason.
People are doing Puja and Akash sees it and says Poonam is mine and we are going to marry. Few guys see Akash and says Sitapur is revolving here a lot. There is something fishy. Suman goes to meet Poonam, and sees Akash leaving from her house. She smiles seeing him. Akash sees the guys talking in his bike’s mirror, and stops his bike. He goes towards them. They think he is coming to them. He goes to the mandir. The guys are relaxed and joke on Akash. Akash comes and talks to them, they go away. Akash leaves on his bike.
Suman talks to Poonam and asks why Akash is coming home so many times. Poonam says he comes to meet her dad. Suman says no, he is coming to meet you, like he came once to return a pen. She says he needs some excuses to come and meet you. Poonam says he does not talk to me when he comes here, its not like you are thinking. As you now, I m going to marry Gawtham Sir. Suman says sorry and says ok its as you say.
Gawtham asks Sanjeev for his dad, he says he might have gone to take water. Gawtham is tensed and runs. Few women are fighting for water and Gawtham’s father is standing there too. He fights with someone. Gawtham comes and asks him to end the fight. Gawtham’s mother says that Gawtham does his bit to get water for them and they don’t let them take water. He spits in the tank water. Gawtham takes his dad along with him. Gawtham shouts on them bringing them home, and asks what were you people doing, fighting like animals. His mother says he was doing right. His brother asks for a hot roti. Gawtham says you are asking as if you are taking collector’s training. Gawtham scolds his brother too. He asks him to study or do some work. He says he has to do business, not studies. They have an argument. Gawtham apologises to them, and says sorry. His mother says she will make rotis. Gawtham stands there and thinks he should talk to them about Poonam.
Gawtham says them that I wanted to discuss an important thing with you, and says about Poonam and her proposal formarriage. They get shocked. Poonam gets Gawtham’s call. He said I have told my family about the proposal, and both the families will talk to each other. She asks him to tell her dad about this. He says ok. Poonam goes to her parents room to tell them about Gawtham’s call and hears their conversation.
Prabhunath is tensed seeing Vandana worried about Deepak. Prabhunath says first lets marry off Poonam, then we will find a way about Deepak too. Vandana asks about finances, Prabhunath says we will give furniture etc, without it how can we give her away. Prabhunath tells her to trust their Lord, and everything will be fine. He tells we are getting an educate man like Gawtham, is it anything less. Vandana says she is worried about Deepak, with whom will he share his worries. Poonam stands and hears this.
Poonam comes back to her room, and says her parents are busy. Gawtham says ok I will talk to them tomorrow. Gawtham says I wanted to talk to you. Poonam says even I have to talk to you. He asks her not to say Sir to him. Poonam says ok. Gawtham says our families are different. They are not educated. But they are good from heart. She says I understand, and they are also like her parents. Gawtham says thanks to her.
He says now you say what you want to talk. She says what will the families discuss. She asks him will you take anhything from us. Gawtham says no, don’t worry about it. I m an educated man, and on my own. I gave so many things to my elder sister and I m against demands. Poonam says you are very good, and thanks. Gawtham smiles and disconnects the call. Suman gets happy that they are not taking dowry. Poonam says I want to tell this to my parents.
Prabhunath and Vandana are evaluating gold and finances for Poonam. Poonam comes there and hears them talking to sell off the jewellery and send the money to Deepak. Prabhunath says No, I can’t do this, and with this money, he can’tstart the business. Poonam says he can do it, she spoke to Gawtham, and he told her that he has spoke to his parents and he will marry me without any dowry. Prabhunath gets very happy. Vandana asks why did you ask him this. Poonam says he told by himself. Prabhunath praises Gawtham. Poonam asks her dad to break the FD and give some money to Deepak. They have a family hug happily.
People are doing Puja and Akash sees it and says Poonam is mine and we are going to marry. Few guys see Akash and says Sitapur is revolving here a lot. There is something fishy. Suman goes to meet Poonam, and sees Akash leaving from her house. She smiles seeing him. Akash sees the guys talking in his bike’s mirror, and stops his bike. He goes towards them. They think he is coming to them. He goes to the mandir. The guys are relaxed and joke on Akash. Akash comes and talks to them, they go away. Akash leaves on his bike.
Suman talks to Poonam and asks why Akash is coming home so many times. Poonam says he comes to meet her dad. Suman says no, he is coming to meet you, like he came once to return a pen. She says he needs some excuses to come and meet you. Poonam says he does not talk to me when he comes here, its not like you are thinking. As you now, I m going to marry Gawtham Sir. Suman says sorry and says ok its as you say.
Gawtham asks Sanjeev for his dad, he says he might have gone to take water. Gawtham is tensed and runs. Few women are fighting for water and Gawtham’s father is standing there too. He fights with someone. Gawtham comes and asks him to end the fight. Gawtham’s mother says that Gawtham does his bit to get water for them and they don’t let them take water. He spits in the tank water. Gawtham takes his dad along with him. Gawtham shouts on them bringing them home, and asks what were you people doing, fighting like animals. His mother says he was doing right. His brother asks for a hot roti. Gawtham says you are asking as if you are taking collector’s training. Gawtham scolds his brother too. He asks him to study or do some work. He says he has to do business, not studies. They have an argument. Gawtham apologises to them, and says sorry. His mother says she will make rotis. Gawtham stands there and thinks he should talk to them about Poonam.
Gawtham says them that I wanted to discuss an important thing with you, and says about Poonam and her proposal formarriage. They get shocked. Poonam gets Gawtham’s call. He said I have told my family about the proposal, and both the families will talk to each other. She asks him to tell her dad about this. He says ok. Poonam goes to her parents room to tell them about Gawtham’s call and hears their conversation.
Prabhunath is tensed seeing Vandana worried about Deepak. Prabhunath says first lets marry off Poonam, then we will find a way about Deepak too. Vandana asks about finances, Prabhunath says we will give furniture etc, without it how can we give her away. Prabhunath tells her to trust their Lord, and everything will be fine. He tells we are getting an educate man like Gawtham, is it anything less. Vandana says she is worried about Deepak, with whom will he share his worries. Poonam stands and hears this.
Poonam comes back to her room, and says her parents are busy. Gawtham says ok I will talk to them tomorrow. Gawtham says I wanted to talk to you. Poonam says even I have to talk to you. He asks her not to say Sir to him. Poonam says ok. Gawtham says our families are different. They are not educated. But they are good from heart. She says I understand, and they are also like her parents. Gawtham says thanks to her.
He says now you say what you want to talk. She says what will the families discuss. She asks him will you take anhything from us. Gawtham says no, don’t worry about it. I m an educated man, and on my own. I gave so many things to my elder sister and I m against demands. Poonam says you are very good, and thanks. Gawtham smiles and disconnects the call. Suman gets happy that they are not taking dowry. Poonam says I want to tell this to my parents.
Prabhunath and Vandana are evaluating gold and finances for Poonam. Poonam comes there and hears them talking to sell off the jewellery and send the money to Deepak. Prabhunath says No, I can’t do this, and with this money, he can’tstart the business. Poonam says he can do it, she spoke to Gawtham, and he told her that he has spoke to his parents and he will marry me without any dowry. Prabhunath gets very happy. The Episode starts with Akash talking to Prathna and Dadi that he has found out about Poonam. Prathna says Bhagwan helps them who helps themselves. Dadi also says the same. Akash says Prathna what girls likes. Prathna helps him saying even I m a girl, and so I know girls like the guy who have guts and who tell what they feel on the face. Dadi says this is right and jokes that she too likes these types of guys. Dadi says do something before anyone else catch the chance. Prathna says not to be late, Dadi also says that a good work should not be done late. Dadi asks him to get to work and tell her what he has in his heart. Prathna asks him will you tell her tomorrow. Akash smiles.
The next morning, Prathna sees that Akash is not in his room. Akash goes to meet Poonam early morning.
Scene shifts to Poonam:
Few guys are also watching Poonam doing puja. Akash comes there and sees that those guys are seeing Poonam, he feels angry. He stares at them and they make an excuse and move from their place. Akash sees Poonam and thinks about their previous meetings. A song plays in the background. Akash thinks what Prathna said him. Akash calls Poonam and tells her that I want to talk to you. The guys think Akash is becoming a hero, and he should be seen well. Poonam does the puja and greets Prabhunath. She asks whether he did yoga, he says yes. She tells her dad that Akash came to talk to me, I will go and come. She goes out and asks him how come he came so early. She asks him what do you want to say. He says yesterday I left your home without drinking tea, so I came today. She says she does not likes jokes. She starts going, he calls her again and says listen to me, I want to talk something important. She asks what. He says you teach stitching to girls, will you teach my sister. She asks did you come to ask this, you leave in Sitapur, so will your sister come daily from Sitapur. He says I did not think about this, I will ask my sister and let you know. Poonam’s mum calls her, and she leaves.
Prabhunath jokes with Vandana. She asks him to repair the pressure cooker. She asks him whether he spoke to Gawtham. He says first I will talk to Poonam, Poonam comes and says Gawtham sais that he spoke to his family and they will come and talk about the proposal. Vandana reminds him that we the girl’s parents and we should invite them to our home.
Prabhunath calls Gawtham. He asks how he is, Gawtham says I m fine. Prabhunath says Poonam told that you spoke to your family, Gawtham says yes. He says I wanted to invite your family, and I want to talk to him. Gawtham is shocked, and then he says ok I will let you talk to him. Gawtham tells his dad that Poonam’s dad called. He talks to Prabhunath. Prabhunath apologises to them for not talking to them and invites them home. He says ok we will come tomorrow. Vandana is worried what will she do in a day. She asks them to prepare everything.

Akash calls Prathna and tells him that she cannot say anything to Poonam and thinks what she said. Prathna tells it means you did not tell anything, he felt he did not know anything and he became a statue. Prathna tells him to go back and say Poonam. Akash tells you do not understand. She tells I understand, and I know till you don’t talk to her, you will not be able to do any work properly. Prathna wishes him all the best. Akash prepares to meet Poonam again.
Prabhunath and Poonam have a talk, he asks her whether she met Gawtham’s parents. she says no. Akash comes there. Prabhunath says you came to our home, he says you come here for Monica Didi. The guys are jealous seeing Akash again. Akash sees the guys giving a flying kiss to Poonam. Akash is angry and goes to them. He fights with the guys, and asks them to do it again. They argue and say its their place, and they will do what they wish. Akash beats them. Prabhunath and Poonam are tenses seeing the fight. Poonam does not like this. Akash says will you do it again, say. Prabhunath comes in between, and asks Akash to leave them. He leaves them, but Prabhunath also falls. Poonam is shocked.
